Just my opinion, but I think the term Fashion Jewelry is actually being
used as a replacement for Costume jewelry now-a-days. It sounds better, both
phonetically, and by connotation. Costume jewelry seems to imply fake as
opposed to the connotation of Fashion Jewelry which sounds more like
desireable adornment that wont cost as much as jewelry made of precious
metals/stones. Ive even seen plastic jewelry called Fashion Jewelry by some
retailers. |
