bracelets. They then began their own line of bracelets and theyre just
flying off the shelves ---- People were laughing when they first saw them.
They didnt get it. The goal is not to just have people believe in it. We
want them to try it and see what works for them. |

| Americans Looking Eastward
Powerbeads’ popularity comes as an increasing
number of Americans look to Eastern spirituality
for direction. Many people are taking to yoga and
using “feng shui,” the ancient Chinese art of object
placement that says that if you arrange your
surroundings according to certain principles, it will
help your well-being.
“Americans today are taking a mental account
of what is important in life. They are more mystical
and inspirational,” said trendwatcher Irma Zandl,
who runs the market research firm Zandl Group.
“Powerbeads fit right into that. They are about
being positive and feeling good.”
Metro developed powerbeads after seeing the
Dalai Lama wearing beaded bracelets. She began

| I have not had any progress lately in trying to get my 11 yo son to wear a
watch, which his school now requires (if you missed my previous post).
While on this topic, has anyone else had this difficulty with their kids?
My son will not wear anything around his wrists for some reason. I even
try to tell him that we could find a watch that is more comfortable, but
he just has this thing about wearing things on his wrists. I have never
heard of any other child who has an adversion like this. Almost every
other boy his age *likes* to wear a watch, (not to mention friendship
bracelets or those grunge style beaded bracelets and necklaces which
seem to be big for the boys now)! (He wont wear any kind of necklace
either).
It also might have something to do with the fact that maybe he considers
it jewelry. I dont know. Any other opinions or input on this? I am
interested to hear how your boys are about these things. Hope to hear back
from you soon! |
